Real estate and site selection
The Pet Supplies Plus team can help you determine the best sites in the selected trade area. Potential pet supply franchise locations are reviewed to determine population, income levels, pet ownership, and pet spending indices in the selected trade area, prior to site approval. Traffic, visibility, access, signage, and lease terms of the proposed location will also be evaluated.
Store design and layout
Pet Supplies Plus provides you with a customized store layout specifically designed for the unique characteristics of your location. We provide prototype architectural drawings to assist your architect in developing construction documents. And we assist you with purchasing all the specialized equipment and fixtures needed to set up your store.
Management and employee training
Pet Supplies Plus provides a comprehensive 4-week hands-on training program that focuses on all aspects of the business. The curriculum includes merchandising, product ordering, retail operations, employee scheduling, P&L basics, customer service, cash handling, and daily operational procedures. District Team Leaders (DTLs) will continue to work with franchise owners after you open your store to share ideas and best practices from other stores. Online training modules have been developed for store employees to assist them in becoming product knowledge professionals who can advise about the products and animals sold in our stores. Our 4-week Store Manager Training Program is held at one of our corporate training stores located throughout the U.S.

"As PSP's first franchisee I've been involved with this company since 1989. Through the years I've seen a lot of growth and change; I am enthusiastic with the new direction of PSP and still see really big things happening in the future. I am very excited to be opening new Pet Centers in the North Carolina Market over the next few years."
