Chief Executive Officer


Chris Rowland has led Pet Supplies Plus and its team members to record growth since his appointment to Chief Executive Officer in October 2014, and his strategy is a simple one: deliver a dazzling experience, outstanding value and incredible convenience to every neighbor who walks into our stores.

 

Chris is a seasoned pet industry veteran, having pawed his way up the corporate ladder at PetSmart from 1996 to 2011 and making a name for himself in retail operation. Starting as a store manager in Toronto, he worked his way up to Vice President, US Operations and, ultimately, President of PetSmart Canada, where he and his turnaround team transformed the struggling retail chain into the largest and most profitable pet specialty retailer in Canada.

 

Chris earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Western Ontario in London, Ontario, Canada. He has a human daughter and son, and two furry children, Tibetan Spaniel, Lillie, and Pekingese, Lexie. Most notably to team members at Pet Supplies Plus, Chris is “Dad” to white umbrella Cockatoo, Phoebe, the company’s attention-loving, sweet-talking “Chief Bird Officer.”

Chief Financial Officer


Dan McNamara joined Pet Supplies Plus in 2019 as our Vice President – Corporate Controller, and was promoted to Chief Financial Officer in February of 2020. As the CFO, Dan oversees all of the finance, accounting, treasury and tax functions at Pet Supplies Plus.

 

Prior to joining the company, Dan spent nine years at Domino’s Pizza, where he held multiple positions of increasing responsibility in finance and accounting, most recently as Director – Global Financial Planning & Analysis. Before joining Domino’s he worked in the audit practice of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP.

 

Dan earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Clearwater Christian College in Clearwater, Florida, and his Master of Business Administration from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan. He is also a licensed CPA in the state of Michigan. Dan and his wife have three children and a West Highland White Terrier named Mulligan.


Nick Russo

Chief Development & Stores Officer


As the Chief Development & Stores Officer, Nick spearheads the expansive store growth and internal operations for Pet Supplies Plus. With an impressive career spanning over 25 years in sales and retail, Nick has dedicated over 12 years to accelerating Pet Supplies Plus’s success, ascending from District Team Leader to Divisional Vice President, and finally assuming the role of Chief Development & Stores Officer.


Nick's relentless determination has propelled franchise growth, with plans to double the number of stores in the coming years. Under his dynamic leadership, Pet Supplies Plus earned recognition as a Top Growth Franchise by Entrepreneur magazine, a testament to Nick's strategic vision and commitment to excellence. Before joining Pet Supplies Plus, Nick held progressive roles at Best Buy, where he led teams to unprecedented growth. Nick's multifaceted expertise and dedication to growth continue to shape the success of Pet Supplies Plus in the ever-evolving retail landscape.


Outside the boardroom, Nick, alongside his wife and three children, shares their home with an extended family of four dogs – Wade, Brooklyn, Stella, and Emmie – as well as one bunny, two mini-donkeys, four goats, one mini pig, and, of course, a partridge in a pear tree. 

Miles Tedder

Chief Operating Officer


Miles Tedder oversees all Marketing, eCommerce and Supply Chain functions. Since joining Pet Supplies Plus in May 2013, he has also served in a variety of executive roles including as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Information Officer.


Before joining PSP, Miles held senior executive positions where he led the transformation of the organization’s supply chain and technology strategies. His experience includes roles with Lowes, Family Dollar Stores, Party City, Anna’s Linens and Staples during periods of rapid growth with responsibility for business process re-engineering, change management activities, and business systems implementations.


Miles earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Management from Limestone College in Gaffney, South Carolina, and his Masters of Business Administration from Mercer University, Stetson School of Business and Economics, in Atlanta, Georgia. Miles and his wife have three human children and a Border Terrier fur baby named Pepper.

Michelle Harding

Senior Vice President - Stores

Michelle Harding is a driving force behind Pet Supplies Plus’s retail success, currently serving as the Senior Vice President of Stores. With over 30 years of invaluable retail experience, Michelle has been a cornerstone of our growth and prosperity since joining the company over 10 years ago.

Michelle’s career has been a strategic journey through various pivotal roles at Pet Supplies Plus, including District Team Leader, Director of Live, Services & Engagement, Divisional Vice President of Stores and Vice President of Stores.  Building on a rich background in the retail industry, Michelle previously held instrumental positions at organizations like The Limited, Bed Bath and Beyond, Jo-Ann Fabrics and Craft, Petco, and Unleashed by Petco, contributing significantly to their respective growth phases. 


An alumna of the University of Akron with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, Michelle has not only contributed significantly to PSP's success but has also been recognized as one of the top 25 women in retail on the rise in 2022. Beyond work life, Michelle finds fulfillment in a loving family life, with her husband and adult human daughter and son, along with her delightful four-legged companions—Coco Chanel, Oliver, and Hudson Harding.

Heidi Char

Heidi Char

Senior Vice President - Human Resources


As Senior Vice President of Human Resources, Heidi Char leads her team in all recruiting, compensation, benefits, payroll, and people leadership functions. Together they create the infrastructure that supports and fuels the operation of 230+ corporate stores, motivating 5,000 team members country-wide to make it easier for their neighbors to get better products for their pets.
 

Heidi joined Pet Supplies in 2011. Previously, she held positions at Westinghouse Electric, Comerica Bank and The Pepsi Beverage Company, where she served as Human Resource Director for Michigan’s bottling and distribution operations.
 

Heidi earned her bachelor’s degree in business at Michigan State University and her Master of Business Administration from the University of Pittsburgh. She and her husband have two sons, a Shih-Tzu named Darby, and a pet turtle named Speedy.

Jeff Suttle

Jeff Suttle

Senior Vice President of Merchandising


Jeff Suttle joined Pet Supplies Plus in September 2011 as our Vice President of Strategy, and after a series of progressive assignments through Supply Chain and Ecommerce, was promoted to the Senior Vice President of Merchandising in February 2020.

 

Before joining the PSP pack, Jeff worked for Sears as the Vice President of Pricing. Prior to that, he was the Vice President of Merchandising Services for PetSmart. He also worked for Stop & Shop as Vice President of Pricing and for Shaw’s as Vice President of Buying Strategy.

 

Jeff earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Fairmont State University in Fairmont, West Virginia. He and his wife are the proud parents of two daughters and three mixed breed dogs, Tank, Lady, and Petey.

Stan Mac

Stan Mac

Senior Vice President - Information Technology


Stan Mac joined Pet Supplies Plus in March 2014 as our Vice President of IT Applications with responsibility of leading the transformation of the IT solution portfolio. He was promoted to Senior Vice President (CIO) of Information Technology in April 2018 and leads the IT Team responsible for technology at Pet Supplies Plus’s stores (corporate and franchise), distribution centers, and Pet Central.


Before joining Pet Supplies Plus, Stan worked for Carhartt as the Director of Information Systems. Prior to that, he was Director, Information Technology for Sears Holding Corporation with a focus on Merchandising, Supply Chain, and Logistics systems. Stan also held a series of progressive roles for Kmart Corporation.


Stan earned his bachelor’s degree in management and organization development from Spring Arbor University in Spring Arbor, Michigan. He and his wife have four human daughters and a labradoodle named Lexi.
